Peter Parra, 14, is a freshman at Mountain View High School, and a piano major at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College division (SFCM), studying with Professor Corey McVicar. A 2022–24 Lang Lang International Music Foundation Young Scholar, Parra began piano at 4 and has since won numerous competitions. He has attended prestigious summer festivals, including the 2024 Aspen Music Festival, the 2024 Frost Chopin Academy, and the 2023 Cleveland Piano Institute. Parra has performed in master classes for Yoheved Kaplinsky, Anton Nel, Kevin Kenner, Steven Spooner, Alexander Kobrin, and Ning An. He performs in a piano trio at SFCM and actively engages in community outreach. In 2024–25, he gave solo and chamber music concerts at UCSF Children’s Hospital, bringing joy to children battling cancer. Parra is also a top-ranked competitive junior ballroom dancer, placing in the United States top twelve.
