Violist Andie Zhu is based in Lexington, Massachusetts. She has studied with Daniel Getz at the New England Conservatory Pre-College Program, where she played in the Chamber Intensive and was coached by Soovin Kim, Miki-Sophia Cloud, Merry Peckham, and Laura Blustein. Zhu was also a member of the Boston Youth Symphony conducted by Federico Cortese. She has received solo master classes from Kim Kashkashian and Peter Slowik, and her chamber groups have received master classes from Miriam Fried, Don Weilerstein, and Mai Motobuchi. Zhu attended Bowdoin Music Festival where she studied with Dimitri Murrath and Kirsten Docter, and the Heifetz International Music Institute where she studied with Martha Katz, Atar Arad, Melissa Reardon, Nicholas Cords, and Marcus Thompson.
