American mezzo-soprano Maire Therese Carmack recently made her Houston Grand Opera debut as Dodo McNeill in Missy Mazzoli’s Breaking the Waves and has upcoming debuts at houses including SemperoperDresden and Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Maire Therese is a 2024 graduate of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and has made notable debuts with the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and San Francisco Opera. Previous roles include Marguerite in Berlioz’s La damnation de Faust, Princess Eboli in Verdi’s Don Carlo, Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Dulcinee in Massenet’s Don Quichotte, and Carmen in Bizet’s Carmen.
