Jungmin Allison Kim spent most of her childhood in South Korea where she attended the Yewon Arts School. She is currently a student at Summit High School in New Jersey, and studies piano under Professor Julian Martin at the Juilliard Pre-College program. Kim made her concerto debut at age 10 playing Mozart with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. She made her solo recital debut at age 11 playing for the Kumho Prodigy Series at the Kumho Yonsei Art Hall. Kim is a 2024 and 2025 YoungArts Winner. She won first place prizes at the 2020 Korea Steinway Competition, 2019 Korea Chopin Competition, and the 2018 Edward Auer Piano Workshop Solo Competition Junior Division, and was a finalist at the 2020 Ettlingen International Piano Competition. Kim volunteers for GiveYOUTH, an international community service nonprofit organization, and enjoys reading Korean novels and playing video games.
