Born in Shandong, China in 2007, Haoran Cui has been studying at the Tianjin Juilliard School Pre-College division with Dr. Ching-Wen Hsiao since 2020 and is going to attend The Juilliard School this fall. Cui’s musicality has been recognized in competitions and festivals, including the 18th Xinghai Cup China National Piano Competition, Tchaikovsky International Music Competition for Young Musicians, and Irmler International Piano Competition. He has participated in numerous festivals, including Music@Menlo, Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival, and Juilliard Summer Program. He was also a recipient of the Outstanding Artists Project program from the Tianjin Conservatory of Music. Cui played as the youngest musician of Tianjin Juilliard School’s first Chamber Music Intensive Program in 2022–2024. Beginning with a Russian tour in 2019, Cui has been giving solo and chamber music recitals and performing in major concert halls throughout China. He is beyond grateful to experience his second year at Music@Menlo.
